Arm and Core Balancing Workshop

Yoga Now favorite Lauren Durso brings you insight into "core balancing" -- how the arms and limbs are sources of stability, but not the ultimate source of strength in arm balances.
Utilizing your entire core, you'll learn how to tap into whole-body strength, from shoulders to knees, including uddiyana bandha and naval/organ engagement to help support you in arm balances.
This workshop will include:
Whether you're experienced with arm balances or wondering how to even begin to float your feet off the floor, this workshop offers everyone a chance to enjoy learning, exploring and practicing new approaches to arm balancing.

About Lauren Durso
lauren is a Certified and Registered Yoga Instructor, with Yoga Alliance®. She graduated from the 200 hour Embodyoga teacher training program taught by Patty Townsend at the Yoga Center in Amherst, MA.
Lauren started practicing yoga in 2000 to relieve back pain, and she fell in love with both the physical and mental benefits yoga offers. Her passion for yoga practice is inspired by her twenty-five years of dance experience, and this passion shines through in her creative style of teaching.
Lauren has been teaching yoga to students ranging from preschoolers to adults since 2004 and she continues to develop her personal practice and teaching techniques in the following styles: Power, Vinyasa, and Restorative. Her trainings also include: Yoga Fit for Adults Levels 1, 2, & 3; Karma Kids Yoga in NYC; Empowered Kids Yoga Program; and Radiant Child Yoga Program Levels 1 & 2.
