Lower back injuries and conditions affect an estimated 31 million Americans and are second only to the common cold as a reason for a visit to the doctor. Considering all the work your lower back does every day, it's no wonder it's so vulnerable to injury and strain. But you don't need to feel helpless in the face of discomfort and pain. The yoga postures and energy-moving breathwork presented in this workshop can help relieve chronic lower back pain and build and sustain consistent lower back health.
This workshop presents:
Safe and gentle movements to stretch tight muscles and strengthen weak ones
Techniques for coping with pain flare-ups, and
Ways to create natural tone and balance while respecting your body's particular conditions and limitations
Books are available as part of the workshop package or can be purchased separately at a retail. Available now on Amazon.com
and at all good bookstores.
Open to students of any skill level who want to create or maintain a healthy lower back, and to professionals who wish to deepen their knowledge of how yoga can promote lower back health. Two Yoga Alliance CEU credits available.
