Workshop One: LOWER Body
Workshop Two: UPPER Body
In these two workshops we’ll "map the body" by describing the actions necessary for proper alignment. These actions are based on the work of John Friend, founder of Anusara Yoga, who presented a most elegant set of Universal Principles, which applies in all postures. When applied properly, these principles work together to enhance energy flow throughout the body and ensure a safe, healthy, balanced, and joyful practice.

About Tal Banayan
After his first yoga experiences in 1996 while traveling in Central America, Tal resolved to incorporate yoga into his life. In 1998 he was led to a Bikram class and found the hot series particularly well-suited to remediating the physical stiffness he experienced at the time.
Tal became a certified Bikram Yoga teacher and has been teaching Bikram style since 2002. After completing a Power Vinyasa Yoga teacher training with Baron Baptiste in 2004, his classes have become more Vinyasa-based, incorporating sensitivities from his Bikram background, as well as elements of his Anusara practice. Over time, Tal’s personal practice has expanded beyond the physical, to embrace more conscious living, happiness, and inner peace. Along with his wife, Cynthia Gramer, a yoga teacher, he draws guidance from the ancient wisdom of yoga as well as that of contemporary spiritual teachers.
